Our aim
Viva Lexico aims to offer teachers and students of English – as a foreign or native language – enjoyable learning games with a large, renewable bank of linguistic input. Based on the firm belief that lexis and grammar are interdependent, the range of language input is wide and deep…and often unusual!
Who is behind Viva Lexico?
Viva Lexico is headed by Isobel Fletcher de Tellez. She taught English as a foreign language for many years in Mexico and the UK before becoming an editor (and occasionally writer) of ELT materials for the major ELT publishers in the UK. She was the founding editor of ETp, currently the world’s leading magazine for English teachers. She still edits books for students at all levels and magazines for teachers wordwide.
Isobel co-authored another language teaching game, Mindgame (Mindlines in the US), for Clarity Software, and has contributed to other software products, so it is a natural progression for her to launch Viva Lexico.
Viva Lexico’s software and website is designed by a team headed up by Trevor Hawes - an English Language teacher and experienced software developer with 15 years experience and with many language teaching software packages to his name. He has taught English in Poland and the UK, as well as providing support materials for teachers in many other countries.
Together with his team of dedicated and responsive engineers, he is ready to help, should you require advice regarding installation, expansion or usage. We will work with you to help you make the most of Viva Lexico products.
Feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements and we will do all we can to help you.
